Being Different
Looking at this poster from a controversial new gay rights campaign featuring a baby with a "homosexual" tag around its wrist and the tagline "homosexuality is not a choice". The campaign is a project of the regional government of Tuscany, Italy.

Jim Gaffigan
Jim Gaffigan's manager did not want his 'new' material on YouTube that I had uploaded from the Conan O'Brien show. The 'manager' kindly asked me to remove it on October 17 and at that point it had been viewed around 100,000 times. I did not get the message until the 20th and I never heard back. I kind of felt like Jim should just come up with new material.

Eye-Fi
I thought this would not be available until next year.
The Eye-Fi. It's an SD memory card that adds Wi-Fi to any camera. Plus the free Eye-Fi service supports automatic uploads to 20 different web photo sites (like Flickr) as well as a computer on your home network. Price is $100 'Amurcian' US dollars.

In bright Red and Fluorescent Green, the Butt crack buddy bends over just for you, and while it does so, it makes a circle with it’s hands where you can place your pen

The Bronze Age
"The Legion of Super-Heroes is kind of the "Star Trek" of comics." Oh yes, I have this original over-sized comic in my archives. I managed to save it from being lost in a bitter break-up over 13 years ago.

40 Years of LSH Cruisers
My favorite cruiser the Mark X. "With the advent of the Mark X cruiser, the Legion finally had a state-of-the-art fleet that was a worthy successor to the Mark III/Mark VI design. Fully equipped, spacious, and striking in design, the Mark X served the Legion from Superboy 193 thru LSH (v. 2) 285"

Cristina Fernandez
Argentina - Cristina Fernandez claimed victory in Argentina's presidential election Sunday, with early results and exit polls suggesting she had avoided a runoff and become the first woman elected to the post.
If women ran the world? I can only hope.

'Dead in the Now'
The story deals with your standard zombie virus, but, unlike most all other zombie stories, Dead in the Now is about a person who finds the first “root” zombie, and decides to usher in the catastrophe of allowing the undead to lay claim to the world. Of course, the steps he takes to build his zombie army, and the moral issues he deals with along the way.

I think not...
Above is a card I made for my co-worker last week. The character 'Richie Rich' suits him more than you could ever know.
Below is an article in the NY Times that appeared on his birthday while he was in NYC.

Caramel Bella
Also known as Caramel Beauty this new web site designed to keep women of color up-to-date on the latest health, fashion, and self-improvement tips.
I found this site looking for the article on Gina Ravera. Loving kitties, puppies, babies, shoes, bags and men (not in that order), I am practically a 'woman of color' internally.

That Give Back
Gina Ravera created Project Reina, a nonprofit group with a network of hermanas who bring sex-education workshops to schools nationwide. Latina and black women, she learned, represent a disturbing 82 percent of female AIDS cases in the country.
My partner, Eric, attended a Sunshine Kids Gala last evening and met the cast of the TBS show 'The Closer'. Kevin Bacon attended since he is married to the star of the series, Kyra Sedgwick. Eric works for an organization that attempts to prevent HIV.
With that in common, Legacy Community Health Services may work with Project Reina in some way.

Rob & Robot
My BFFs treated me to supper at Catalan, one of the top ten new restaurants in the US "Amurica'. They also put together this robot tower of gifts. So effin' nice. Take a look at the individually boxed cupcakes in the first pic.

NxtUp...Humans
Morlocks Rejoice
One of my favorites...H. G. Wells' The Time Machine. The human race has evolved into two species, the highly intelligent and wealthy Eloi and the frightening, animalistic Morlock.
Theorist Oliver Curry predicts that the human race will one day split into two separate species, an attractive, intelligent ruling elite and an underclass of dim-witted, ugly goblin-like creatures, according to a top scientist.
100,000 years into the future, sexual selection could mean that two distinct breeds of human will have developed. The human race will have reached its physical peak by the year 3000. These humans will be between 6ft and 7ft tall and they will live up to 120 years.
