"Special" USB for MacBook Air
Which means it won't be usable with any other product but the MacBook Air. Whether or not this is part of Apple's money-printing program is beyond my ken, but anyone who's planning on adding $99 to their MacBook Air purchase with the intent of using the external Superdrive DVD burner with another system is out of luck.
