Variety says “the quality of the writing, acting and directing generally invests them with the feel of real life and credible personal interchange, rather than of scripted stops along the way from aspiration to triumph to tragedy."
Thirty years after Harvey Milk's death people are still attempting to gain equal rights in the LGBT community. I know it wasn't a coincidence the film opens on the anniversary of Milk's murder, but Prop 8 and a campaign run on 'hope & change' must have been pure coincidence.
