What Next...Concept Habitat
Moon Villa
"Royal Haskoning Architects has come up with an open villa that makes life possible on the Moon. Removing all the walls or separations between the rooms, the villa provides a free space for easy mobility within the spherical space, giving a metaphorical reference to the earth. The structure features a see-through exterior to gel with the dark and rugged landscape of the Moon. While a special display by architect Dennis Hauer apart from protecting the residents from the scorching heat of the sun also helps in regulating the temperature within. In addition, the villa has its own eco-system which converts CO2 (emitter by residents) into oxygen through a natural cycle. The structure removes the stairs to move between various levels, thanks to the lesser gravity on the moon. Moreover, the villa is attached to an underground bunker, which provides safe refuge from solar storms quite evident on the moon."
