Precious director, Lee Daniels, may create a play based on Paris is Burning. This documentary film from 1990 chronicles the ball culture of NYC and the communities involved in it. It is as a thoughtful exploration of race, class, and gender in America.
This would be a sure-fire hit on Broadway.
