Appointed Housecarl's ObitThis past New Year's weekend, Lydia, a female Nord living in Whiterun who became my housecarl (bodyguard) after my avatar was appointed Thane (knight) of Whiterun, disintegrated into a pile of ash after a fierce battle with against magic anomalies. I attempted to save her several times, but to no avail. Lydia assisted my avatar on a number of adventure all the while carrying loot and weapons taken from fallen villains.
Without any real sincerity my avatar, Sphinx Phast Bast Cat, never asked Lydia is she
had a family. It is a sad day in Skyrim. Service to held today in Whiterun.
