Husband Leaves for Africa
My husband, E, is going to Africa today to help people in need. I've mixed emotions because I am a selfish person and I want him to stay home. We've not been apart more than 3 days in 15 years. Had I not been to North Africa before we met I'd be even more upset, but regardless I have reason to admire his desire to do this.
His words: "I will spend 16 days volunteering at Come Back Mission in Johannesburg. I'm not sure what kind of work I will be doing, but the folks at Come Back Mission know about my extensive experience in HIV/AIDS and my marketing and communications skills. I hope to lend my expertise and help this wonderful nonprofit organization grow and prosper. Founded in 2007 to bring holistic healing and transformation to marginalised people affected by poverty, HIV/AIDS and addiction to alcohol and drugs, Come Back Mission has a number of programs from a pre-school and women's empowerment center to substance abuse counseling and support groups for people living with HIV/AIDS."
This husband, RobO, will spend time watching the XXX Olympic Games, playing video games & reading comics.
